Arts Education
Based on the Arts Education Key Learning Area Curriculum Guide (Primary 1 – Secondary 6, 2017), the School’s Visual Arts curriculum ensures the vertical continuity (progressive acquisition of skills) and cross-curricular connection with other subjects. It broadens children’s artistic exposure and develop not just a visual, but multi-sensory sensitivity for aesthetics. Therefore, students can develop their creativity and imagination. In addition to the regular curriculum, the subject panel has organized a variety of creativity-based activities for students, such as oil painting, pottery, and clay classes. Furthermore, the panel has actively cooperated with external organizations to coordinate cross-curricular activities, some examples being the Arts Building Character Foundationand Tung Chung Safe and Health City to organize the Art Expedition, organizing Storytelling & Drawing with The Warehouse Teenage Club Ltd and working with OMNI ART to create beautiful murals.
